Industry Experience

Food and Beverage Manufacturing

This is an industry sector of household brands undergoing change in response to the changing demands of its downstream retail customers, factoring in demand and supply planning.

An enduring industry challenge is centred around lifting logistics performance to that of its manufacturing counterpart, and achieving more seamless integration across the entire supply chain from raw materials to customer. This sector is an historical strength of our business, and we have successfully solved our clients supply chain problems across the region including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Singapore and Korea.

The industry supply chain problems we have solved across this sector include:

  • Logistics network design initiated by manufacturing site consolidation
  • Integrating customer distribution capabilities with manufacturing sites
  • The application of automation and other technologies in warehouse picking and storage operations to cope with changing customers order profiles
  • Distribution operating models including industry and competitor collaboration
  • Transport delivery cost reduction through route optimization

We have recently completed a landmark transformational program in warehouse solutions with one of the highest profile organisations in the industry. Our long standing work with this leading beverage manufacturer in Japan is genuinely groundbreaking.

Redesigning the future complex multi-tiered distribution network was our initial role, which has now moved to design of the future distribution centres and their implementation. These facilities, featuring leading storage and order pick automation will set a new benchmark in consumer goods distribution centres in Japan. Coca-Cola Japan

Similarly in Australia we have designed a soon to be operational distribution centre for a leading multinational beverage manufacturer that will again set the benchmark for automated order picking and storage in the industry.

We have partnered with industry leaders across the region to develop supply chain strategy solutions, including:

  • Coca Cola Amatil
  • Coca Cola Bottlers Japan inc.
  • Coca Cola China
